Scholastic Book Clubs has always been one of my favorite educational resources, both as a child and as a teacher. I have fond memories from my childhood of picking a book from the Scholastic Book Club flier that went home every month. It was so exciting to get a new book! And as a teacher, Scholastic Book Clubs has some of the best prices available for children's literature. It was my go to source for building my classroom library. One of my favorite activities and that of my students' was our read aloud time. To make this experience even more educational and enjoyable, I would choose the Scholastic Book Club $1 Book of the Month. Those students who were able to purchase the book would do so, and I would use the points from those purchases to buy any extra books needed so that each student in my class had a copy. They then could follow along as I read aloud. And the best part was that once we finished the book, every student went home with their own copy to add to their personal library.
As a homeschool parent, this is an experience that I want my children to have as well. So each month, on the 15th and 30th, KnightFall Academy will be placing a book order through Scholastic Book Clubs. Any homeschooling family in Manatee/Sarasota counties that wishes to order from Scholastic Book Clubs may do so online through KnightFall Academy. I will have the books shipped to me (usually within 2 weeks), and then I will arrange for the exchange with each family individually.
